This is Khystrill, my newest model from the Dali School of Modeling.  She is wearing a 3 piece ensemble created for the third challenge of Project Project Runway.  It's a  sporty little set with a surprise...

Picture
The hoody is completely backless.  I have dubbed it "The Mullet"...business up front, party in the back.

Here Khystrill show how easy it is to move in this set with a little jog down the runway.

I wonder what tonight challenge will bring?  And will Khystrill be returning next week or fly the coop?  Stay tuned to find out.

figured that since we are posting our fashions tomorrow, I should get a pic up of my fabric choices.  This week we get to "go" to Mood, finally.  The twist is we have to make stilts for our models.  ANd speaking of models, I had to ask the Dali School of Modeling for yet another model!  It turns out that Chien (the model I used last week) ran off with an Argentinean dog breeder.  They have promised me, I will have a model with the same measurements as she had.

This is my model from the Dali School of Modeling for this week.  Her name is Chien.  She got here just in time for her photo shoot.  Since it was a pet themed challenge, I let her take her cat "Catnip" down the runway with her.

Picture
Her jacket and purse are from the fish catnip (which had no catnip that I could see. MORAL: don;t give your pets stuff from the dollar store) cat toy.  The handle of the purse is the tail from the mouse toy.  The dress is the stuffing from the fish shaped toy and one of the bags.  It's a faux vinyl boucle'

Chien's boots are made from the tiny tennis ball and a bit of the mouse toy as the soles (and apparently were laced up by a drunken monkey..).  Her glasses are made from the green and white ball with the bell.  My fingers are bloody stumps at this point and this is only the second challenge!

The second challenge is the unconventional materials challenge.  We had to choose things we would get at a pet store.  I went to a dollar store as I'm cheep.  These are the things I have chosen to work with.  I focused on cat toys because the scale is better for doll bodies.  There is a little black foam mouse in the package as well, it just doesn't show up in the photo too much.

This is my answer to the 1st challenge.  The skirt is a double circle skirt...which I would not recommend for such a small body.  I had to thread wire through the hem binding to be able to control the drape.  The pin tucking was fun to do, but I did have a few issues arise.  For one, I couldn't use Zoey's head for the model.  All that hair hid too much of the dress details.  SO I called the Dali School of Modeling and they sent over an emergency head.  Her name is Iris

YEAH for Project Runway.  Every season I fantasize about being one of the lucky designers.  Well I discovered a challenge that will let me do just that.  It's called Project Project Runway.  Think of it as a mini version.  We are using dolls for our models.  I've chosen Zoey as my Model, so she will have a fabo wardrobe after this!
We just got our first challenge today.

These are the fabrics I've chosen for the first challenge.  On the real PR, they had to use what they slept in and one of the bed sheets.

I chose the green dotty fabric since I used it for doll PJ's in a swap.   chose the white on white because I liked the weight of it...and I don't really have much white anything in the house.  BUt the pattern looks like it could be a doll's bed sheet to me.
